Ahmed Adetola, M.A.

Ahmed is a Psy.D. student at Marywood University. He completed a predoctoral intern at Cleveland State University's counseling center and earned his undergraduate degree at Morgan State University and master's in psychology at Marywood University. His interests include: psychosocial development, identity, self-esteem, mindfulness, existentialism, humanistic psychology, holistic care, alternative medicine, DBT, ACT, and CBT. Ahmed is currently working on his dissertation, entitled, "Examining the relationship between racial socialization, racial identity, and the academic achievement of Black college students."

Loren Carmichael, B.S.

Loren is a first year Psy.D. student at Marywood University. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Austin Peay University. Loren's areas of clinical interest include:  mood disorders, eating disorders, genetics and development of addictive behaviors.

Amara Chukwunenye, M.A.

Amara is a Psy.D. student at Marywood University, currently on internship at Michigan State University's Counseling and Psychiatric Services. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Howard University and a master's in psychology at Marywood. Her interests include: Disordered Eating, anxiety, depression, stress, boundaries, and perfectionism.

Brie is a 5th year Psy.D. student at Marywood University. She completed her undergraduate degree Kutztown University and a master's in psychology at Marywood. Brie's research interests are in reducing mental health stigma.

Samantha Glosser, B.A.

Samantha is a 2nd year Psy.D. student at Marywood University. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Montclair State University. Her areas of interest include the LGBTQ+ community and allyship particularly for Black/POC communities.

Bertnie is a fourth year Psy.D. student at Marywood University from Kissimmee, FL. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University and her master’s in psychology at Marywood. Her areas of interest include race-related stress, ethnic identity, and grit. 

Tyshawn Thompson, B.S.

Tyshawn is a third year Psy.D. student at Marywood University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology and English Literature at Assumption College.Tyshawn has experience working with adolescents and adults. His interests include: health psychology, forensic psychology, marketing and outreach in psychology, emotion regulation, emotional reactivity, resilience, and the dynamic of relationships. 

Tyshawn: "I am open to being contacted by a mentee whenever they may need me. Mentorship is very important to me. I wish I had a mentor when applying to graduate school."

Brianna is a first year Psy.D. student at Marywood University. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Marywood. Her areas of clinical interest include:  adverse childhood experiences, coping, and health psychology.

Gabe is a second year student in Marywood University's Psy.D. program. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in women and gender studies at West Chester University. Gabe's interests include: mental health and resource discrepancies in minority populations with an emphasis on gender, race and sexual minorities.

Liz is a second year student in Marywood University's Psy.D. program. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Marywood. Liz's clinical areas of interest include disability, rehabilitation, and health psychology. Her interests include: Rehabilitation, disability, and chronic pain. She would like to work with people with chronic health conditions or who consider themselves disabled.

Brice is interested in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents. His research interests include: the impact on children of education and exposure to the LGBTQ+ community.
